Baby cattleya care

Against my better judgement I bought a baby cattleya from lowes in the white mesh bags for $4. It has three dark green dinky leaves on shriveled pb's and 1 new lead that looks ok. I watered it as soon as I got home and it is sitting under an 85 watt cfl until i move it outside, eventually into almost full sun with the others. My question, and I've read the previous posts to no avail, is how the culture of this baby differs (if at all) from that of mature plants. Light, humidity, temp, water etc... Also, whats the technical term for this plant, seedling, baby, perhaps.

As it stands now, I've given in and moved the catts outside where they get direct sun at sunrise and sunset and dappled shade from about noon - 6pm. Temps range from 70's - upper 90's and humidity from about 30-50%

I'm curious to see if I can keep it alive for the 3 years to see it flower.

Thanks

Bob
