Sunsets. That's democratic, for those who have a camera at least.

And with cheap digitals everywhere, including my cell phone, all it will take is stepping outside once a day or so.

Sunrises are perfectly acceptable, too.

Michael,
That's perfect!

#12: Sunrise/Sunset.

#13: Suggestions, please...

buildings,"your town" rocks, patterns,shadows,food, favorite room,favorite chair,etc.

Great Idea Marda.

How about water? All it has to have in the photo is water.
Also along the lines of wildflowers, how about wildlife?

Yes, like the deer browsing in my corn?

Trees and/or shrubs, blooming or not
Houseplants

Pets!

A certain color

A certain shape

Macros

Macros for guessing ("What is this?")

Old houses,unique buildings,towns.

Rocking chairs? or maybe just chairs to sit in, in the garden

Fences? (thinking of a wooden one which has cut-outs, and a plain ole chainlink that's not so plain with a mound of clematis)

After a rain ... there's something about rose petals on a brick walk

Wind... surely there's more than waving willow branches

I like the "certain color" idea...

What absolutely terrific ideas!!!

I'll compile a list maybe combining like/similar suggestions and post it.

Keep those suggestions coming!!

Yes-a bunch of good ideas here, I already have some photos that will fit a few categories.

Wanda-Thanks for doing this. It's been fun to see the gallery get active again.

Maybe the oldest item in your home (aside from DH or DW). I'll bet most have interesting heirlooms from family or from own childhood.

A photo illustating some family tradition...perhaps something handcrafted or a collection you've started or skill you've mastered...that you hope your heirs will likewise cherish and continue. josh

I don't mind doing this at all.
Actually, I'm doing it for a selfish reason....I have REALLY missed it.

I have come up with a list of new subjects trying to combine some like/similar suggestions.

If I am off-base with your suggestion, please, please let me know.

6. Old fashioned...
I was thinking pictures of GPers from years back...paper dress, hair-dos, etc.
To add to this, the suggestion of the oldest thing in your home or garden...heirloom, antique find, tree with approximate age, etc.

7. Water Features...bird baths, fountains, ponds, ocean, pictures of just water.

8. Rainbows/Clouds.

9. Garden Critters/Wildlife...bugs, butterflies, lizards, deer, rabbits...

10. Sunrise/Sunset.

11. Old houses/old buildings/interesting architectural elements.

12. Favorites: room, chair, book, cup, plant...your favorite that brings that special 'fuzzy' to your life.

13. Houseplants: include any houseplant...african violets, orchids, tropicals...
(And, without calling any names, bless your heart, plastic will be accepted. LOL)

14. Your Town Rocks...pictures of activities in your town, special places in your town, special gardens of your town, etc.

15. Handcrafted...Anything you have personally handcrafted...this can include anything...art, sewing, canning, flower beds, flower arrangements...

16. Collections...corks (LOL), figurines, purses, shoes, plants...anything you enjoy collecting.

17. Family Traditions...Thanksgiving dinner, ballgames, Easter egg hunt, playing Monopoly...anything that is a tradition with your family.

18....Not finished with the list yet...still thinking on how to combine some of the great suggestions.

bumping up cuz I like looking at all of the great pics in the gallery. When we get to clouds I have some my youngest took right before a thunderstorm.

Looks like this week is Sunrise/Sunset in the gallery. Get your cameras ready.

calliope,

Thanks!!!

I needed to bump this as I thought I had lost it!! LOL!!

Also, it will let you GPers look ahead for those perfect pic moments.

I want to apologize for my lack in posting pics/comments.
I have been looking and enjoying but life hasn't allowed much extra time lately to be as involved as I would like.
I appreciate so much y'all keeping things going.
Thanks!!

I am bumping this up - we are not done yet, are we?
Where are we?

Lilo, I think the last one anyone even particiapted in was Your Town Rocks. I got quite busy the week before that and photography wasn't too high on my list of projects.

It looks like we really need a taskmaster to keep us directed. LOL.

Boy do we ever Suzy, we all just fell apart without wandaredhead to kick us in the butt! LOL!

Breakfast.

What's on your plate this morning?
