Is this a virus?

My orchid Lc. SJ Bracey Wailani just bloomed and the flowers have raised rough spots on some of the petals.

I will try to put some pictures. Ignore the white spots on the leaves. Those are water spots.

Is it a virus?

Since no one has tried to answer your questions, I will attempt it.

The petals do not exhibit the typical discoloration if it has the color break virus. I'm sorry but don't remember the name of that particular virus.

The only way to make certain is to have it tested - either send a piece of leaf to Critter Creek or purchase the Agdia test strips.

I was thinking that also after viewing other virused petals on google, but the only folks who could tell me are the people to do the diagnosis like you said.

Cat - My bet is that it's not a virus. It just looks like water damage. But you should always test it anyway to give yourself peace of mind. I believe with priority mail shipping and the testing fee at Critter Creek, it'll be just about $10. $10 for peace of mind is not bad!
