I am really sorry about your spider mites issue,they are the worst to deal withâ¹.maybe you could try something systemic and see if it helps.my phals got a bad case of them and it took me a good while before I got rid of them,I use a chemical called ENGEO,and it work.spider mites affect orchids that are not healthy so I think your best bet would be to improve their health and growing conditions.mine are grow on a screen patio so lots of air and they get natural light,also I wipe them down with a bit of dish detergent ever so often.i really do hope you get rid of them.Velleta

You need to use a different chemical each time. They get immune to the poison quickly. You must follow up in 7 days for eggs. Most of the recommended are contact killers. So a thorough and patient process is needed to win. It is a battle of the worst kind. But winnable.

Prevention is to own a jewelers loop to see the monsters. They are tiny. If you have constant observations a quick response will allow spot treatments. So lots of footsteps nets the best prevention!

They appear due to the low humidity. Can you put your plants outside for the summer? Surprisingly, they can disappear over summer because they don't do well in a moist environment.

I had similar problems growing in NY. I never had them on my orchids, but I grew Plumerias which were spider mite magnets.
