It is normal for older pseudobulbs/canes to lose leaves on nobile/softcane Dendrobiums. Did it grow a new growth commencing in spring, If so, not a problem?
Needs cooler, drier conditions in winter to flower in spring.

These orchids are beginner's orchids here, maybe not so in what i presume to be zone 6 in your posted by info.

You need to drop the winter temps to get it to flower, not easy, if you are growing it in your home.

The temp where one is in bud in an enclosure down the yard is 7C forecast maximum for today is about 17C.

Orchid is just two years old just wan't sure if it was getting too much water as I do water it once a week and sunlight it gets afternoon sun (filtered). Since the smaller leg has not grown back any leaves but a new (sprig) has developed and is growing like crazy. Who knows??
