They love to do that, it really means they are comfortable and relaxed.
Even though days are so hot and the house heats up, just before day-break it ets chilly and I have been pulling the down comforter over me. Jasmyn, the sleeping companion, really missed the comforter, I suppose, she was all over the bed, stomping it and kneading it and purring up a storm.

I never had a cat as a companion.

When I read the theme of this thread, I thought that you were dancing and carrying on!

There is nothing so gratifying as being accepted by a cat. My Annie was a talker who loved to be picked up and held. But her MOST favorite thing was sitting on my lap. You never know how endearing those things are, until they're gone. :o(

Your crazy cat, Lilo's Emily and my Midnight all do the same, knead dough. They all are content, but I wished my cat would not think of it in the middle of the night and give me a massage on my stomach, waking me up, purring like a sewing machine and insisting that she absolutely needs right this moment a scratch behind her ears.

As the young kids of today say, "true that!". Or, yes, I agree, happy feet is a good name to call that action. But you made me think of Marda. She called it mooshing with their paws. I like both images quite well. Way down here in the South, I've heard people call it "making biscuits", but I don't much care for biscuits, so happy feet it is!

My favorite part of cats is when you are too busy to pet them, so they pet themselves by rubbing on your hand. They get what they want when they want it. Kinda of hard to resist petting them when they press their entire head into your palm.

I love cats. My sweet Pandora has been curling up on arm of love seat right under a lamp.We are having cooler days, not cold but pleasant. i think she is feeling the change in the air.
