Are there any other Flickr members here? I really enjoy the site and would love to see other's photos if they've got a page.

I know there is a gallery here but I find it difficult to work with and never liked the upload size restrictions. My pictures always posted itty-bitty. I spend a lot of time at Flickr and would love to add some of you to my contacts so I could see more of your photos!!!

Lynn,I don't know what to day. Those are some of the most amazing photos I've ever seen. Wow...you could be a professional. And by the way..she sure is looking like her mom these days.

The mantis shots are stunning! I collect mantis "thingies" and would love to start adding photos to the mix. You should consider selling them at art shows and craft fairs.

Your photos are awesome because you understand the concept of framing an image to create tension and drama. Very nice.

I've been at Flickr for a couple years and have probably a couple thousand photos uploaded. They don't all show up because I've never upgrade the account to "Pro" or whatever they call it.

I love searching through Flickr. There's a Flickr group for just about anything or any subject you can possible imagine - including one called "My Chihuahua is Cuter than Your Chihuahua". I post to that one occasionally to remove all doubt that my Chihuahua's are absolutely the cutest.

If you look at my Flickr set for Springfield and the Lincoln museum you'll see a shot I got of a teenager looking at the wax scuptures of the Lincoln family. It was quite interesting because you could see it dawning on this girl that the Lincoln's were a real, live family not just a story in a history book. BTW, the Lincoln museum and library is awesome. Worth a road trip. It's the new age of museums, which bring history to life.

Wonderful, Lynn - just knockout. What make of camera are you using? You macro work is very good, do you have a lens specifically for that?

I need to know all about this and perhaps even join Flickr.

    Beautiful...just beautiful!!

    Well thank you all.

I was hoping there would be more Flickr members who wanted to share their photos.

Thank you for posting Suzanne. The really weird thing is I went to your page and realized I had looked at it the other day and didn't know it was you! I remember looking at the photo of the fallen barn...just a day or two ago! I like how your photos tell stories. The barbershop and the store...I liked the pinup/jeep photo too (plus your chihuahua really is the cutest).

Suzanne's right about the groups. If you take a photo of something there is a group of people with a photo pool about it. I like the tagging aspects of the site. It lets you and others search easily for photos with certain 'tags' you give the work. If I take a photo of a circus scene I might tag it with -circus, clowns, fun, tent, trapeze, popcorn, etc...

Sheila, I use a really simple point and shoot, a Kodak C875. If you click on someone's photo it brings up the technical information on the bottom right under Additional Information. I don't use a special lens. I'd love to use a digital SLR with variable lenses but it's not in the budget right now.

Essentially I shoot the heck out of something. Usually there's a few shots with good focus. Then it's just a question of cropping.

You certainly have the eye to compose the shots, and the soul of an artist. Those are amazing photographs. One can learn the technical stuff, but the eye is inborn I suspect.

Sheila and Suzanne have the eye, as do several other GPers. I suspected you had talent when you sent back pics of the moon over the kirke from Denmark. When I saw that, it was as if the whole scene jumped out of the monitor and smacked me up the side of my face. You should enter some of these in contests. You should.

I'm just bumping this up, to see if anyone else has joined the flickr family. :-) I have recently, and I'm really loving it. It's so easy to use and makes it easier to share my photos with family and such.

Anyway, here's mine, if anyone is interested (it's not that interesting yet, but I hope to keep adding fun photos to it for a long time.)

WOW- so many talented photographers- makes me want to get out my camera. I am still using a 35mm but it is so expensive that I need to go buy the digital body.

Lynn, You photos are beautiful! And you did those with a simple point & shoot? I guess this goes to show that if you've got a good eye, you don't need an expensive camera. Thanks so much for sharing!

Just bumping this up again, in case I missed anyone.

I'm really loving my Flickr account. I just upgraded to a paid account over the weekend. Wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be.
