Short of carving the sheetrock out? probably not.

Spray the roots with water every few minutes for a half hour. Get a filet knife and go to work. This is not perfect for the roots or the wall. I think it is a good compromise. The roots will be beat up but can continue to work, even if you lose a few. The wall will be damaged but not beyond repair. The wet roots are much easier to deal with compared to dry roots. Only one root? Don't worry about it. Wet it and gently peel it off the wall. If it breaks, the plant will be fine.
