Flowering 1yr old cymbidium

Just wanted to show this to others. It is a backbulb from a cymbidium which sprouted a new growth a year ago. I potted it along with others and to my utter surprise it produced a small flower spike with 5 flowers. Over many years I have only occasionally had flowers on 2yr old plants, so for me this is a new record. Anyone else seen this before?
