Soil ? for two Paph hybrids

I have two Paphiopedilum hybrids I need to transplant after they are done blooming. They are both in spag. moss that I don't like. I was thinking of using a gritty mix of .25 Orchiata bark .25 pumice .25 DE and .25 granigrit. What do the experts think? Should I also add some dolomite lime to increase Ph? Thanks, Jack.

I wouldn't personally mess with the lime. Either small orchid bark, or small bark mixed 50/50 with perlite has worked great for me. I agree, spaghnum is not good. Easy to ship overseas, but also easy to overwater and drown roots. Not knowing what DE is, I can't say, but your mix is likely good. Love the paphs. One is almost finished opening today. Would have been two, but I was a klutz....
