Repotting question

I brought one of my NOID catts to the orchidarium near my home for diagnosis and was told my plant had very few viable roots left thanks to the sellers not selling me a very healthy plant to begin with. I was told to dump it becos now isnt the time to repot and it would probably die.

My question is: if we repot outside of spring and summer, is it really so bad?

The fact that it has very few viable roots is more important than the time of the year. Repot in fresh bark and hope for the best.

Exactly, nothing beats a trial but a failure. Repot and see you have nothing more to loose by trying anyway. Sometimes they really want to live and suprise us. :). VELLETA

Thanks! I will do so in a much smaller pot. It gave me beautiful flowers this summer so I will return that pleasure with some extra effort on my part.
