C maxima question

My big unruly C maxima semi-alba bloomed like crazy from September to November. Now it is showing new growth, but what surprises me is that it has also put out a new sheath which seems to have something in it. Isn't this awfully soon since it just lost its last flowers about 2 weeks ago?

Congratulations - don't worry about it, my maxima bloom multiple times of the year. I currently have two in bloom and another that is gearing up for the second time in about three months.

This is the plant that keeps on giving. When watering this week I discovered three buds emerging from an old dried out sheath. Amazing.
