Fuzzy tomato seeds?

I saved some of my own tomato seeds last year by fermenting them in water until the pulp dropped from the seeds, then removing them, wrapping them in coffee filters and storing in ziplocks with dessicant packets.

Some of the seeds are "fuzzy" - not moldy or anything, just showing small hairs as I take them out for a germination test 6 months later.

Does that indicate I did not ferment long enough, or are some tomato seeds just supposed to be fuzzy? The trial just started, so I'll see how they germinate in a few days.
