Hard to tell without seeing rest of house. Perhaps paint it black if you want the cutouts to disappear. Or, if you like them, you could paint the door an appropriate color to go with rest of front of house, which we can't see in this photo. Please supply us with another photo. Thanks!

Look at two pictures above this one. It's there. Someone said to paint a bold color. I already painted it a light butter yellow. I'm satisfied with the color, however, it's the window panels that get in the way of every decoration I put up there. I usually pretend the windows are not there. I still think another solution would be to hang something beneath the door. Any suggestions?

If you're trying to hang seasonal decorations, such as a Christmas wreath, the brick wall to right of door looks perfect. You'll need a masonry bit in your drill to install a
screw into the mortar to give you something to hang things from.
