I would leave it on. It will eventually come off & manually removing it may damage the seedling.

I agree with baci. I have learned to leave it alone, and in most cases it will come off by itself. You may lose a plant or two but your helping will lose most of them. Al

I have some black-eyed susan vine growing and they are all clinging to their seeds for dear life. Has been that way for a month. One looked loose enough so I gently knocked it off. 2 days later that seedling is dead. The moral is to just leave them alone :)

that is just what I needed to know. I am new to seed growing and I have been pulling those little things off. I have morning glory seedlings that are five inches high with no second set of leaves appearing. They are very thin and spindly. I have them in a south window, with lots of light, I spray them with H202 water. Any suggestions,
