My leaves are about 1/32 above the soil line. Are you sure they are petunias at 1"? Even super spindly... I find 1" hard to believe from a petunia...

How long from when they germinated till you got them under lights?

Keriann, Are you sure they are petunias at 1"? Since I planted the seeds, I am sure they are petunias. Most are wave. In fact there are at least 10 varieties of just petunias. A few are taller than 1", but most are at about 1". The few that popped up late are 1/4". They went almost 2 weeks before I got them under lights. Prior to that they only got some window sun light.

oh yeah... I thought it was days, not weeks...

I would get them really close under lights and when they have their first set of true leaves I would pot them up deep, to their leaves. This should help and should be fine in the long run.

What kind of light set-up do you have?
