My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Biosol is a organic fertilizer mix with a balanced ratio of nutrients. I assume the cheaper fertilizers would do just as well. But, try it if you like, I have never used it.
I use it and like it alot. It is the byproduct of the penicillin production process, and supposedly increases the biological activity of the soil more than your usual set of organic fertilizers. I've never seen anything scientific on that claim however. I use it because it's cheap and I like the "green" aspects of reusing something that would otherwise be wasted.
The NPK analysis is 7-2-3, which is very close to an ideal ratio for plants, (which is roughly 10-2-7). It doesn't claim to have any micronutrients in it, and therefore I add some SulPoMag and some calcium and some chelated iron at various points during the growing season. The package states "all plant nutrients derived from the fermentation of soybean meal and cottonseed meal."
But, $18 a bag? How big of a bag -- that kinda sounds like a high price for a little bag. I get it in 55 lb sacks for $33 at Horizon, for which I've put a link below. The posted price is $40 a bag. However, I usually get it cheaper -- the wholesale price -- after chatting up the staff and mentioning a connection with the local rose society.
One other point worth noting -- the stuff is really, really stinky. Takes a few weeks outdoors for the "scent" to go away, and indoors it would be a disaster.
One more thing -- don't let anyone give you a bag that is or has been wet. That happened to another friend at Horizon, and her car has yet to recover a normal car scent. Still smells like there is a dead rat in there.
