Hello everyone,

I recently tore out my existing lawn(Basically weeds and rocks..), Tilled, added soil, then seeded. a day or two after the seeding we had a big rain and I i noticed some areas did not irrigate water like I wanted ( The soil new soil settled in some areas even more then i hoped. Even worse weeds are starting to pop all over. Even though I sprayed grass and weed killer on the yard twice during the process of removal and tilling.

Now that I see all this I want to go back in remove the weeds add more soil to let the water push away from the house.... With all this I have changed to wanting SOD as a guy from work is a contractor and can get me a good deal.

My question is, besides adding new soil and removing the new weeds, can I still plant the sod over the ungerminated grass seed? Basically the yard looks ready to go for sod but has some seed put on it a few days ago.... Not sure if the sod will smother the seed or how it would work. The Sod would be the same type of grass.
