I love Parrot's Feather!

I've had relatively good luck over wintering it inside in a very sunny window. The trick is to keep it alive. It's not going to grow much but if you can just keep the roots ticking over for a few months it should come back in the Spring.

The best choices to over winter are the small, young plants. Older, woody parts might make it but it's less likely. If you can, divide into a few separate pieces and put them in different parts of the house. That's the best way to ensure that some will survive.

I don't keep mine in a vase. I put is in a shallow bowl weighed down with a few small rocks. I have a feeling that changing the water occasionally and maybe even giving it a little fertilizer (not much!!!) might help.
