Delphinium grandiflorum seeds now?

I planted a Delphinium grandiflorum about 6 weeks ago and it is setting seeds.

If I cut it back might it rebloom and would it work to sow more seeds now?

Would it be better to wait until fall or spring? Anything tricky about sowing them? I use a lot of compost as mulch and for soil health, but it interferes with self sowing. Thanks! Wobur
