We just got finished with a gazebo and I want to do a floor in it. I found a buggy load of tiles at Lowes that I want to use for the floor. I am going to break them up and do a mosiac design in it. What I am wanting to do is this..... I figured I'd start in the center of it and do a circle with some of the drive in flower bed edging stuff. This would be only temperary just to hold the concrete until it dried. I was going to pour in the quik crete and then lay the broken tiles on top. THEN do another circle around that one and so on until I got out to the edge of the gazebo. I was not going to mash the tiles down into the concrete because I wanted to do the grout in-between the tiles so it would be white and not gray when I got finished. Can you use grout outdoors? Has anyone done this and has it held up? Will the concrete hold the tiles in place when I get the grout in there IF that will work outdoors? any suggestions from those that have done stuff like this before? The reason I want to do small circles and start in the middle is because I have a bad back and I wanted to do a little at a time on it until I get it finished and I think this will look really neat because you will be able to see the circles in there when I finish.
