The only decomposed granite path I have seen is a yellow path at my friend's house and the yellow path at our local park. On both of those paths, the DG particles are fine/small and don't seem likely to track.

I am very disappointed in the path in our new backyard. In some places it's got inch or more deep ruts and all of the borders have already been kicked into our mulch and grass.

I am wondering if it's possible the landscape company skimped on smashing up the rocks and compacting them. Should they be much finer than they are? I've attached a picture of a standard-size bottle cap lying on top of the path in order to give a sense of scale.
