We had early frost in north GA this week and i stopped feeding my gold fish. i give them Tetra Spring & Fall Diet and it says on the box "Feed in spring and fall, when water temperatures are below 50 F and above 39 F". now temperature will go up to the 50's (my pond is only 12 inch deep). should i continue to feed the fish if temperature rise to 40's or 50's?

The food goes by water temps most times .I have a deep pond at 4 ft and it is over 4000 gallons .I have 4 thermometers in my pond .There are 2 that float and 2 that sit near the bottom .I live in VA near the NC border .I always check my thermometers winter and summer

I have always stopped feeding in October in my Ga zone 7b but there was anacharis and algae for them to nibble on. This year I don't have the anacharis so was worried about winter forage. I have stopped feeding so hope they will make it okay this winter. We sure are starting out cold early this year.

Should be 66 F tomorrow. I will check the water temperature if its above 55 F i will give them some Fall Diet food. I saw them searching for food after the rain today.
