I am a newbie to this forum and have tried to read the past postings on drip systems...but haven't found just what I need.

I want to augment my existing automatic sprinkler system with an efficient and independent drip system that will include all the flower/shrub beds, container plantings and entire garden area...existing lawn area is being reduced by at least half and the automatic sprinkler system is not designed to allow for watering of beds without the lawns being watered as well..waste of time, money and more importantly water resources..

I have the basics down I think...but would like to buy an affordable system that has quality components that will be efficient and easy to clean and winterize...and will last a number of years...

What I'm asking for is the sharing of your experience and what you would do differently or what you changed from your experience...

Also has anyone found an effective way to be able to fertilize via their drip system...Do you have some money saving advice...I garden approx 11,000 square foot residential lot in SW Washington state..where our winters are wet but it's a crap shoot in the summer and early fall seasons as to rain fall...
