The jury is still out on this although I think it has some effect on tomato and pepper performance. The only problem is that I never used a control for my applications. I have a leftover supply and will try it again this year. I might isolate a few plants and not treat them. Have you done the research?

No -- this is my first year.

I read all about it -- and am trying it on citrus.

I have a Meyers lemon and a Key Lime, both of whom had been pretty stingy with blossoms. This year there is an abundance! Also a grapefruit tree -- that is fairly new -- but the blossoms look like a corsage.

I am trying it on Pomegranates. It's still too early for blossoms -- but I am waiting.

I will try it on tomatoes as soon as I get a few more leaves on the seedlings. And, I will isolate the test plants.

It does sound interesting. One of the old-timers here had his own recipe for pushing bloom. Sounded weird to me, but what he does is girdle the branch (or trunk) with a sharp knife -- a single cut. His theory is that the plant thinks it's dying, and spurts out growth. I circled one branch with a knife -- nada. But he swears by it. Same philosophy as this Messenger.
