Wildflower Seed Sowing Advice?

Hi!

I have a box of wildflower seeds that I would like to put at the side of my house where no one goes, but I would like something there.

The box says seed spacing 2"-3". How do I do that?

I thought I could just "sprinkle" the seeds around? I am new to this so please bear with me. lol.

If I just toss the seeds around do I have to worry about overcrowding? I am so confused!
