I would not know but I think you can e-mail Ortho or ask the question at their site. I once several years back had to e-mail them & they were happy to help. Look through their site & see if there is any way to contact them.

Old post but we'll see if you're around and ever got this answered. I'm also trying to use my Ortho Dial-N-Spray on box elder bugs and have the same question. Just wondering if you ever had any luck with this approach.

Thanks for the reply. I'm resorting to Ortho Malathion, which lists Box Elder bugs. I'd given the soap effort a valiant effort but am yielding to the domestic pressures brought about by my wife. :-) She hates them and even on the strongest setting, the ol' Dial N Spray seemed to have pretty limited results regardless of how much soap was in the water of the sprayer receptacle. I'd seen other sites listing pump sprayers and vacuuming but the scale of the problem in our backyard is just to big so hose end sprayer and something stronger than Dawn it is. Thanks again...
