We have a hillside at the back of our yard that we're completely clearing in order to plant succulents and other drought-tolerant plants. Currently I'm cutting down some overgrown bushes that are creeping into the pool. There's some ground cover that also covers the hillside, I don't know the name and I can post a photo if I take one tonight, but it grows in long strands, some as long as 10 feet in length, out from individual plants it looks like, and hugs the ground, and actually feels like it sends little roots into the ground along the way to hold itself to the ground. Anyway, it's going to be a huge pain in the butt to get it all out of the ground, is there any technique to do this easier? Can I use a tiller machine on a hillside safely, and would that help to get the ground cover out? Or do I just need to pull the strands up by hand and then dig the main roots out with a shovel?
