What to do with this old juniper, prune?

Hi,

I'm new so I hope I'm picking the best forum for this question. Not sure what to do with my old juniper here, it was planted along with the house maybe 40 years ago?

Last year I trimmed off all of the dead parts, and cut back some of the excess growth. It looks kind of boring. Any suggestions? Should I just rip out the whole thing?

Cristy, Had a similar challenge and decided to "bonsai" it over two years...and I was happy...and it has done well. Of course, have to keep the mulch weed-free now LOL!
