I've heard they hate human hair. You might try emptying your brushes. I've used a spray product called Deer Off from Lowes. Pricey ... it worked for me but not a friend who borrowed it.

Buy some Irish Spring Soap. Use a cheese grater to grate it up and sprinkle it around the yard. You'll have to resprinkle it after it rains and washes it away. But it will keep them away. I'm not fond of the smell myself, but it does work.

You mean a blender? Or a food processor with a grating blade? The grating blade would work. Just a blender would probably not work. I use a Pampered Chef Cheese Grater. You break the bars of soap in half and pop one in. Then you can grate it right in the garden where you need it.

Mothballs kept them out of the lettuce in my vegetable garden one year. Or...you could keep a wolf as a pet? ;)

Buy a miniature Daschund and let him out in the yard. Mine, Snoopy, managed to kill two cute baby bunnies this past week. Unfortunately or fortunately, he took them, shook them and broke their necks. It wasn't a pleasant sight for my 15 year old daughter, who was out in the yard watering my grass seed. But, it sure works.

We found the first one in the yard,dead. So I assume he killed it, too. The third (and final one) ran across the street. Don't think he has returned.

Now, my question is, what can I do with the rabbit hole? Can I just fill it in with dirt and plant grass seed over it? Will the mother return?

Simon - I have been gardening for about 10 years. Rabbits were eating everything, including rose bushes. I tried many of the things mentioned in this forum. Two years ago I tried Liquid Fence and rarely see a rabbit. I think timing is important. Early in the spring and then 2 months after throughout the summer. Another application just before the frost. I also sometimes sprinkle Johnson Baby Powder around. It has to be Johnson as it is very aromatic unlike some of the cheaper kinds. I picked up this tip from a seminar on deer protection. He emphasized that introducing a new scent occassionally helps. Good luck
