Using granular fertilizer in a sprayer

Just wondering if anyone knew how to dilute granular fertilizer and use in a sprayer. I have several bags that have gotten moisture in them and hate to throw them away. Was wondering if there is a formula that I can use to dilute it and run through a sprayer hooked to the end of my hose.

Yes you can dissolve many granular fertilizers and run them through a sprayer. Indeed several are sold to be done that way.

Some may have some difficult to dissolve salts. Articles often say use warm water. Occasionally an article will say hot water.

Is there a single formula? No. To determine what quantities to you you may need to have a fairly good grasp of some quite elementary chemistry.
