A neighbor made up some hypertufa, coloring it mossy-green. Formed it so it looked like a giant's hand coming out of the ground, with fingers wrapped around and holding the bucket (planted with flowers). Not at all obtrusive, and I think most of us got a smile at the unexpectedness of it!

I have heard there is a new paint for plastic; a common brand name, K_____[something, I forgot]. Probably not yet inexpensive as if that brand ever was.

I saw all these paint techniques for planters, benches, trellis etc in stone, green patina, pewter at Home Depot...comes as a kit. One could probably copy thier ideas with their own paint,moss,etc. Try HGTV.com or Paintideas.com
