If your local area has had a very hot early summer/summer, 90 degree + day temps., most veggies will not set fruit. Plant pollen becomes very sticky/liquify at these temps. and cannot be transfered to the ovaries of the flower thus producing fruit. Enjoy your late harvest.

Some crops are cooler season ones. Beans, beets, carrots and potatoes, broccoli to name a few. The hottest temps just slow them down but once the coolers temps in the fall keep the evenings under 70's, everything starts to give their final push!
