veneering concrete walkway and retaining wall

Hi all:

I have a 63 ft long concrete walkway and a 3 ft tall by ~45 long cement block retaining wall. I have been thinking of veneering them with stone ~ 1-2" thick. Any suggestions ideas? what could i use for edging?

Any ideas would be grteatly appreciated
