I tried the saran wrap method for my dahlias. After storage I had only a few tubers that survived; the rest had gotten moldy. I've read about the successes that others have had, and I'm a tad jealous; I don't know what the heck I did wrong; I thought they were sufficiently dried.
Regardless, all I do with my callas is stick them in a styrofoam cooler (Omaha Steaks), fill with peat, and off to my unheated attached garage. I've also used cardboard boxes in the past, filled with peat. By the time I take them out of storage, which is usually late (June), they're already sprouting. I haven't lost one yet...

I used this method for years with success. When the tubers were cured and clean, I melted parafin wax in water. the parafin floats on the surface of the water. Let the water cool. Before the wax hardens (on the water), dip the tuber in the water. As you lift the tuber out of the water, it will be coated in the parafin.

I have had callas for years in pots. I simply bring them into a cool greenhouse, could also be a cool basement, turn them on their sides and let them dry. By Spring I begin watering and they soon shoot green leaves. Should they need new soil, I pot them up before they get too large. Mary

Mine stay in the ground and return threefold in the summer :-)

I see you are in zone 8. In our zone I believe they would not survive the winter in the ground. I could be wrong . . .
