I've successfully overwintered mine.
When I brought it in last fall it was still in full flower. I kept it on the porch (glassed-in) until things got too cold there and it stopped flowering, then it went into an upstairs hall for the winter.
It did not go dormant and kept its leaves but there was no growth until the spring. It surprised me by producing a flower, indoors, in April. That's when it went back onto the porch for a month until overnight temps were back to what it likes.
It bloomed profusely for me all summer long but probably didn't really start until late June.

So, in short, yes, it'll overwinter just fine. I didn't cut mine back last year, since it wasn't that big, but I will have to this year, as it got too heavy for its trellis. I plan to chop it back quite severely, to about a foot or two.
