Now it's too late to plant bare roots as they are planted in late autumn or very late winter (when spring is not yet there but next to come).

Anyway, you should see leaves in very early spring (i.e. here in Z8a it's by the end of february - beginning of march).
By now all are full of leaves and buds, and many are already flowering. Even the new ones, those I planted bare-roots in late october.

If you plant in March, about a month. This time of year, maybe 3 weeks. I always mound soil over the cane stubs and let the shoots grow through.

Lisa, if you end up getting bare root roses from someone (which they should not ship this late) put them in pots with a good potting mix and some afternoon shade. Keep watered.
