question about dremel tool

I have a question about the dremel tool.I bought a shank and cutting wheel (both dremel for the dremel tool) and the shank doesn't fit.If I monkey with it I'm afraid I'll break it and I'd still be here asking how to fix it.

Anvil probably stuck, Most all them type tools I think takes 1/8" bit or shank on the tool you use. you usually have to unscrew the nut/lock and slide them out. So unscrew the nut all the way off and see if the shank will slide in. If so remove it put the nut on and slide it in and tighten it up to lock it on the shaft of the tool your going to use.
