Does anyone know about echo trimmers having issues with their carburetors?? My friend just told me that he found the carburetors on the noncommercial echo trimmer to be more of a throw away. I am pretty disappointed I didn't realize this before I bought it. Now I think I want to trade it back in for a combination trimmer/hedger tool instead. I only used it once at the very end of last season.

I did the search function before I posted, but maybe I didn't do it right. I didn't really see any discussions about the multi-use varieties of the trimmers, not comparing those four to each other.

Good luck with your challenge. I had a split shaft Green Machine from the 80s possibly (string and hard blade trimmer/edger) that is running today. I modified the machine to a longer shaft hard blade only to allow me to stand straight and edge faster.
