I tried posting this question on another forum a few weeks ago and got zilch back - so I'll give it another shot here.

Might anyone have any leads on where I could find comparative information and/or reviews on alternative appliances like gas refrigerators/freezers, and other off-the-grid hardware.?

Consumer Reports doesn't seem to deal with this fringe.

I've found several manufacture's sites; but I'd like to see some objective critiques - if you get my drift.
