Craftsman Bagger Interchange

I would like to know if a 917.249791 Craftsman Bagger Unit will fit onto my 917.257551 Tractor. The Bagger came off a tractor that is a little newer than mine (both tractors have a 42" deck). Can someone tell me if it will fit, or where I can go to find out. Thanks

I don't have an accessory list that has these. Sears may be helpful if you can talk to someone knowledgeable. It has been my experience that the bagger chute/ boot etc interchange for a long time. The difference is really how the bracket that attaches to the tractor that holds the bag frame that I've seen. Let us know what you find.

The plastic hood, tube, and bags may fit, but the problem is finding the boot that fits the deck. They change them whenever they design a new bagger system. There is a steel u-shaped thing that bolts on the flat back plate behindand below the seat area, and it uses a steel cross pin, and four bolts. The boot design is the problem.
