Try and turn the high speed adjustment screw counterclockwise,about a 1/4 of turn,that will richen the flow of gas,you may have plastic caps on the screw you have to pry them off to adjust the screws,try not to damage the screws doing this.Hope this helps.

I adjusted the screw per your instructions, and it didn't seem to have any impact (good or bad) on the problem.

Any other suggestions?

The tank pickup bobble? I believe there is also a fuel screen in the carburetor inlet that may need a blast of cleaner.

Immediately check for spark when it dies.

My guess though, is carb kit is next.

Given that I can IMMEDIATELY start the blower after it dies, I think that checking for spark would be futile, as it obviously has spark within seconds of failing.

This problem has always seemed to me to be a fuel problem. I agree that a carb rebuild is in order. According to one web parts distributor, this blower has either a Walbro WT-141 or WT-141A carb. Can I identify which carb I have (stamped or something)?

Also, given that a carb kit is ~$20, and a new carb is ~$40, would there be merit in buying a new carb? And, if I were to replace the carb, is there a superceded model that replaces whichever carb I have?

As a follow up to my original post, I purchased a new carb and replaced it. Very easy, and my blower runs like new.

I've rebuilt carbs before without trouble, but for the price difference and me lacking time, the new carb was the way to go.

Glad it's fixed, you could have removed the plug immediatly after it dies to see if it's wet. If it's gas soaked it probably died from lack of spark, if it's dry, it probably died from lack of gas.
