sloppy hitch

The above photos show my resolution to an "oblongated" hole in the hitch on one of my little tractors. Being a farmboy and used to the big ones, have a problem calling that a drawbar.....:-)

Simple fix, procure a brass shoulder bushing at TSC, the one I got was 5/8" OD with a 3/8" hole. The original hole in the hitch was probably 1/2" but had expanded over the years. I roughed out the hole with a "rat tail" file until the bushing would start in. Put a socket over the bottom large enough to clear the OD of the bushing and used a C clamp to shove the shulder down on the hitch. Nice tight fit. The hitch pin is 3/8" so an exact fit and no more slop.

This is my first attempt to post photos so be kind.
