I just bought a Homelite Versatool string trimmer (gas powered). Funny, but the line didn't break once through the first 3/4ths of initial trimming (2 hours or so). But the string broke 6-10 times (I lost count) before I finished the final 1/4th of the job. I've never been very good at winding spools, and I switched from an electric Weedwacker to this gas Homelite primarily to avoid having to deal with line breaks. I noticed the Weed Thrasher for sale at Home Depot, but I also saw a similarly-designed power head built and sold by Homelite there too.

My question: Which spool alternative should I buy? The Weed Thrasher, Homelite's version, or some other?

Thanks,
