I have a John Deere Sabre, 38" cut with hydro that I bought new in '99. With the exception of a thrown rod in the original B&S engine (I replaced the engine six years ago myself) it has been an excellent, reliable mower.
Now, however, there is about 6" of play in the steering. I think the machine has a few more years, and I do most of my own mechanical work.
What do I look at in order to correct the loose steering? (Provided I can still get parts from JD)
Thanks for any ideas!
