Petrol Strimmer Running poorly

Hi, I have a two stroke petrol strimmer/brushcutter/hedgetrimmer/pruner
It worked well the first day I used it, but since then has been temperamental.
I know that one day I had too much oil in the mix (the exhaust smoked) but have been more careful with the fuel/oil mix since then.
Currently it starts well and idles beautifully, but as soon as I apply full throttle it cuts out. I can make it run with about 10% throttle but this is very hard to maintain.
Any suggestions as to why I cannot achieve full throttle as I did the first day?

The use of too much oil might have clogged or be causing restrictions with your exhaustâÂÂs spark arrestor (Causing Back Pressure). Look at the link below related to cleaning your spark arrestor.

    More Info:
I feel, look and listen for a good sign of exhaust exiting the muffler. Some arrestors will come off w/o you taking the muffler off.

A fire starter, cigarette lighter, small Etc should get the small screen red hot if a propane torch is not handy.

Please share your find. I wonder if using too much oil once will cause a problem vs starting one. I have seen some pure messes that leads to the problem that happened over time IMO (attaches).

    Thank you,
Will try this later today (weather permitting) and report back.

Loger, wouldn't it be more reasonable after such a short time to expect fuel starvation from a messed up main jet. I admit that I don't often see an actual piece of crud, but when I remove a bowl and clean out my jet, many of my halting engines will run perfectly after the cleanout.

Good suggestion! I was âÂÂGuessingâ due to the info on using too much oil which I thought was a slight possibility. I agree there are many areas that will need examining. I tell my close friends, âÂÂdrop by, we can check it faster in my hands vs me guessingâÂÂ.

ItâÂÂs good to have close friends with good basic skills in different areas to trade and troubleshoot with. They have to prove that âÂÂWEâ will match my time on their needs and my needs. For 50 years âÂÂWEâ have had some fun in many areas. LOL

PS. Is the last attachment of an arrestor's cleaning.

    Thanks Guys,

I removed the exhaust assembly (Very similar indeed to the last picture posted) and it all seemed clean and not blocked.
I cleaned up a bit around the area and re-assembled and VOILA it runs well now.
So it wasn't overly clogged up but removing and re-assembling seem to have done the trick.

It was a good excersise and now I know more about maintaining and keeping it clean for future reference,
    Thanks

I am suspicious that you had another problem vs a blocked spark arrester enough to restrict exhaust. Did you happen to take a picture that you can post? If the arrestor was as clean as the last post it s/n have caused restriction. An exception w/h been loose carbon that flaked off the screen or out of the exhaust port. Does the exhaust sound as it did before the problem or louder, if noticed?

Do you have a link to your trimmer that will show your carbâÂÂs diagram? Think back related to other minor adjustments you might have made. How old was the other fuel compared to the fuel now and is it treated if ethanol??

We are glad itâÂÂs running well again except "WHYâÂÂ. A Glitch! LOL

I'm afraid I did not take a picture and now it is all back inside the housing cover (only a gap for the exhaust.)

I think it does sound louder now.

I do not have any links to diagrams and I was using the same fuel, which now needs filling again after a good two hour use.

The make is a Titan 25cc petrol multi tool TTK587GDO

    Thank you
