Hi, Looking for tips & suggestions?

I finally broke down & bought a Rototiller this year.

I've been wanting one for a very long time now.

I've read the manual twice & then took it to my Dad's

& was taught how to use it. It is a very small one. I can lift it & it fits great in the back of my Saturn stationwagon.

Now to actualy use it (or before) I was curious?

My yard has alot of rock & roots where I would like to use it. Would that be a safe thing to do? Will it grind those up?

Also? I have never mulched my gardens before. Can I use the

Rototiller? How would I go about doing it? What could I use for mulching?

Hello Yvette, I am afraid that you can not use your tiller to grind rocks or roots. You will have to clear all that sort of stuff out before tilling. The rocks will mess up your blades and your tiller if you try that too much. You can mulch with a lot of different things. There are some good discussions on mulching on other pages on the garden web. You might check those for some good advise....Good luck....DT

It is very small. My Dad says that his friend's Mantis is
a little bigger, but not buy much. This is a RYOBI.
The engine size is: 25.4 cc
Engine out put is: 1.2 HP
Does that make any sense?
