The instructions below were first posted by member wally2q in 2007.

Since that time, Photobucket has made some changes in how their site does things, so I am amending the text here to reflect one of the changes.
When wally2q posted this, line items #4 & #5 described how you must be sure to completely "highlight" or select the entire string of characters in the HTML link. Photobucket has made it easier since that time.
You now only need to choose the HTML option and left click on it. The entire HTML link will be copied to your computer.
The rest of wally2q's instructions remain unchanged.

Amended instructions:
1. Create a Photo-Bucket account: www.photobucket.com
2. Upload photos you want, into your photobucket account (try not to upload these big 10 megapixel pictures you have - rescale them to a manageable size like 800x600, or 640x480)
3. View your photos in photobucket; you'll notice 3 boxes beneath each photo... labelled: URL link, HTML tag, and IMG Code.
4. Pick the middle one (HTML Tag) and "single left click" it. The HTML link will be copied to your computer.
5. Start a new message on this forum, and put the cursor where you want your photo to be placed (in relation to the text you just wrote).
6. Press "CTRL-V" on your keyboard (pastes the HTML link you copied in step #4)
7. When you preview the message, you should see the photo

Now, regarding your other comments:
Instructions on how to work with your photos would go far beyond the scope of a thread on this forum.
Some of the things you mention could only be learned by following the instructions for the computer you are using, or the software package installed in the computer.
Photobucket (and other hosts) offer limited "photo edit" capabilities...........but I have never tried their "tools" as I have my own.
If you simply need to save a copy of an image you see posted to this forum.......place your cursor on that image and make a single RIGHT CLICK of the mouse. A menu will appear offering some options. Left click the option that allows you to "Save As" or other such wording. After you have chosen an option, your computer should prompt you with a screen asking you WHERE you wish to "Save" the copy of the image you want to save.
