The best plans...

I have to laugh at myself. My long skinny rose garden..it's about 6 feet wide..well I planted tall roses in the back and shorter ones in the front. My vision was that I could fit more that way..well the way the sun comes over that raised planter..all the roses are reaching toward the middle..that's where the bed gets the most sun. So they are touching in the middle. DANG

Hehe... it is funny - after watching my Mom's experiences in gardening, I learned that plants will go where they want to, and the plans you start with often end up completely changed. That's why I'm not a big fan of formal garden designs since the plants will quickly grow in an informal fashion.
