Netafim is excellent - it is used in many agricultural applications like wineries.

On my last house i used the stuff at the home centers and I consider it absolute junk. Every few weeks several emitters clogged and they are almost impossible to unclog.

Of course you absolutely have to use the appropriate screen filter for drip systems or any emitter can clog.

Ditto on the netafim. netafim is the second largest irrigation company in the world- they must be doing something right.

I've used it for lawns and gardens. Make sure you use a pressure regulator and filter.

Netafim was a DISASTER for us. If you've got squirrels, don't use Netafim. The squirrels chew holes in the Netafim.

Hi Eileen, I imagine the issue isn't specific to netafim, but just a squirrel pest problem in general. All manufacturers color code their drip emitters to indicate GPH flow for installers. These colors might be attracting the squirrels. Sub-surface drip would probably be your only solution.

Does this system work if the source is raised rain barrels?
